We had an extended stay at the Wanderlust RV park and really enjoyed it. The place is run well with love and attention payed to all the details. It’s proximity to the Passion Play Theater and Holy Land tour is great. The Town Trolley stops right in front of the RV park and there is a cute little covered bus stop structure for comfortable waiting. We got lots of great tips from the park staff on where to go and ideas on how to maximize our enjoyment of attractions. One nice thing about this park is there are no long term stays so it is kept beautiful for tourists. We have traveled for the better part of a year and seen many parks and this was one of the best.
The staff was great. Loved the trolley station. The park was definitely clean, but there was only 1 dumpster in the park and we had to take it ourselves. Was surprised that they did not pick up trash at the sites, since they drove by in their golf carts several times a day. And the bathrooms were clean but there are no air conditioners in them, so it was quite uncomfortable.
We are not a fan of private parks, but this one was amazing!! Staff were kind and genuinely concerned that we were enjoying our stay!! The views are beautiful from every site. Sites are close together but, we didn't notice it. Very clean. Bathrooms and showers looked great, but not used. Laundry facility was nice and clean with 3 washers and 4 dryers. pool was not open yet. Trolley stops at park. We had a premium site with a deck, very reasonably priced.
Spotless Campground with immaculately cared for grounds. The employees even apologized to me ahead of time the sites aren't completely level due to the terrain, yet it was level enough I didn't even need to block up the tires. Obviously they take great pride in their park. Owners don't tolerate speeding which was much appreciated with my kids playing. In so many campgrounds even basic safety rules like that aren't enforced and it just becomes dangerous. My only complaint is it'd be nice if they had a playground (even a small one) for the kids to play but that's not an issue enough to keep us from coming back. For our next trip to Eureka, we won't even look elsewhere unless they're booked up.
Overall we rate Wanderlust RV Park average at best. The staff/owners were friendly and prompt. However, we paid for a premium back-in site (79) and we couldn't even put our patio rug out because of the next site's sewer, water and electrical connections were so close. The site also came with a deck and picnic table that was awkwardly placed more behind the neighbor's site than ours. Plus, the wonderful panoramic views we were supposed to experience were definitely not available on our site. Other lower-priced sites in the campground looked worthwhile but ours was quite disappointing. The premium price paid didn't match our expectations.
