We drove from Kentucky to Arkansas and needed a place to spend the night. We showed up to this campsite and Gary informed us that they were completely full. However, he was able to accommodate our small trailer next to his parents house. Gary is a genuinely kind person who is just trying to help people out. Gary went out of his way to accommodate us and gave a spot to park for the night. The campsite if just off the highway, it’s safe and clean. I highly recommend staying at this campsite but would definitely recommend making reservations in advance.

This spot is such a gem! So convenient just off of 40, but no highway noise and such a beautiful open property. There are spots with hookups if you need them, and also plenty of boondocking space. We were on a six week camping trip and needed a last minute spot with hookups for one night, this was the perfect place after a long day of driving. Plenty of space to let the dogs stretch their legs in the field too :) Gary is so accommodating and kind, loved meeting him. We highly recommend staying here! Thanks, Gary!

First of all, I'd like to say everyone's experience at a park is, of course, different. And 3 stars in my mind is neither excellent nor horrible, just right in the area of "good." We came to H & G for four nights to pass through on our way further South. It is a small, laid back park with about a dozen back-in sites and a couple pull-thru sites. Full hookup with 50 amp. A trash can at each site for campers' use. Off the highway so road noise it not an issue. (Follow your GPS and make sure you turn off on Sample Road across from the cemetery - not too far and down on the right from there.) That is everything the park has to offer, which we did not expect, but it worked out fine for us. The owner is a wonderful, caring individual that will answer his phone for any question you may have. And the area does have things to do if you decide you want to see the sites - The Hurley House Cafe is not too far with good hometown cooking, Ms. Lena's Pie Shop is not far but call and order ahead so she can bake you an amazing pie, Little Rock is about a half-hour away to visit The Big Dam Bridge or the River Market (and so much more), and about an hour-and-a-half away is Hot Springs to visit the park, shop, and walk through Spa Row for an amazing step back in History.

Stayed here 1 night on our way home from Arizona. Needed a place to hook up and take showers. Gary informed us that he had no sites available. But he offered us a spot next to an official spot that we "piggy-backed" off of. Got the job done and it was quiet and level. Gary is a great guy and will accommodate you as best he can. We'll be back when we are in the area! Thanks again, Gary!

Great overnight stop whether you are in a RV or tent. Gary was very helpful and Informative. Far enough off the main road but not too far so you don’t hear banjo music. Clean and level fields.
